GamblersPick talks exclusively to Annamaria Anastasi, Marketing Director at Betsoft Gaming, one of the leading and most innovative software developers in our industry, to find out more about them, what we can expect over the course of 2020 and how they are dealing with these unprecedented times.
GP: Can you give us a little background on Betsoft and what you believe has created your success story to date?
AA: Betsoft is one of the more established companies in the industry and we take pride in having earned a global reputation for high-quality iGaming products over the last ten years. This has been achieved through delivering unparalleled levels of service and high-quality products. In addition to our large inventory of cinematic games, our product suite also includes a full featured casino management platform.
We believe that our key tactics – quality, speed to market, innovation and adaptation – separate us from many of our competitors. We understand both our operators’ and players’ needs and we always deliver. By continuing to obtain independent certifications in new jurisdictions, we anticipate our clients’ needs and ensure that our product is available in the required markets. Constant adaptation and innovation is key in order to keep the products as relevant as possible. Through this, we have secured a loyal and global client base which clearly indicates that our strategy is working.
GP: Your portfolio is already impressive: what is planned for 2020 in terms of jurisdictions and new slots?
AA: Thank you. Betsoft is a forward focused business so we always have a busy calendar. Many new slots are either ready for release or still in production, but you will have to wait and see what great new games we have planned for the rest of the year. Our marketing and sales approach is global but, specifically, Latin America and Spain are markets where we have recently become more prominent
In terms of future content, features and mechanics, we listen to player and client feedback. Furthermore, we undertake in-depth market research and industry trends analysis. This ensures that we mix up content and keep ideas fresh. Through Flash being phased out, we have ensured that all our games use HTML5 based technology. New additions to our games’ portfolio will include a mix of volatilities as well as unique grid mechanics to keep everyone entertained. We also plan to release sequels to some of our player favourites.
Furthermore, we have already released four new games to date: Super Sweets; Total Overdrive; Spring Tails and Monster Pop and with more to come, we are committed to ensuring our clients have a successful year too.
GP: Your most recent slot release was Monster Pop but Spring Tails coincided with the Chinese New Year and was a refreshing release for the whole industry. Can you tell us about the gameplay, dynamics and rewards?
AA: We launched the Orientally themed Red Dragon series in October 2019 with Bamboo Rush, Caishen’s Arrival and Dragon & Phoenix. Spring Tails is the fourth in the series. As 2020 is Year of the Rat, it was released to coincide with Chinese New Year. In terms of dynamics, several lucky rat multiplier wilds can stack up for a total of 60x multipliers, as well as free spins with all low-value symbols removed. Add in a potential 300364x your bet and basically you get great fun and a rewarding experience.
GP: We saw that you recently passed the necessary ISMS audits: what does this mean for you and your clients and why is it important?
AA: The ISMS audit is extremely important for all iGaming companies as it is the legal benchmark for the quality and probity of your products and company. Essentially, it focuses on extensively monitoring all internal controls to ensure that a business is sensibly protecting the confidentiality, availability and integrity of their games from threats and vulnerabilities. What this means is you are guaranteed trust in the company and its products.
It also ensures that the relevant jurisdictions will allow Betsoft titles to be used by their locally licensed operators. Our games have most recently been certified in both Spain and Colombia – two hugely exciting new markets for us. Giving our Spanish and Colombian partners full access to our award winning content will enable them to distinguish themselves within the marketplace.
