Betsoft Gaming is looking for a Data Analyst who understands why games succeed in a global market. In this Senior Analyst role you will partner closely with colleagues across many departments, but mostly joining and bridging between the Product and Marketing teams. A key aspect of the role is to perform analysis that drives data-informed decision making.
The two main objectives will be to analyse the external market, gaining insights from successful competitor games to inform our own game design; and to analyse the performance of our own games, presenting the insights clearly in reports and KPI dashboards. As a third contribution, the best candidate will also be able to participate directly and input ideas into new game design.
What you’ll do:
- Analyse products, trends and market behavior in gaming across relevant platforms
- Conduct competitive intelligence analysis
- Define market requirements and inform product specifications
- Investigate and understand player behavior through analysis
- Present key insights to stakeholders
- Drive new KPI metrics that help us better understand our products and players
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Build anomaly detection systems for detecting fraud or erroneous data
- Provide ad hoc reporting as necessary
What we seek:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Business Data Analyst
- Knowledge of the gambling industry and basic game design principles
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights from disparate data sources
- Strong creative/innovative side as well as grounded analytical approach
- Superior problem solving and organization skills
- Excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills
- Ability to clearly articulate and present insights and recommendations (not just data) to team members and management – both technical and non-technical audiences
- Adept at queries, report writing, and tools like SQL, Excel and Tableau
- Familiarity with mathematical models
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
